From the Director's Desk
Greetings future PHC campers,
Some of you were able to get to know my brother Tim, last year's Teen Camp Director. It is my pleasure to take up the Director's mantle this year. Right now, my assistant Holly Vradenburgh and I are busily preparing for this upcoming summer.
And you have a lot to be excited about this year! As the Leadership Camps scheduled for this summer take shape, I grow more and more confident that this is a year you won't want to miss them. I am especially proud to introduce two new camps: Kucks Camp and International Relations Camp.
Kucks Camp is a Physics camp and will be taught by Patrick Henry College's esteemed and beloved
Dr. Michael Kucks. A camp of this nature is a first for Patrick Henry College and promises to be a great opportunity for everyone, from the science enthusiast to the high-schooler interested in rounding out his science education. Take it from me: you could not ask to study this subject under a more qualified and interesting professor!
International Relations will be led by one of PHC’s extremely talented students, Nicolette Georgacakis, with one of PHC's government professors, Dr. Stephen Baskerville, in the wings as a consultant. IR campers will be putting together a Model United Nations this year. If you see yourself working on the foreign affairs scene in the future, this is the camp for you.
We will be posting registration information shortly. In the meantime, please go to
Teen Leadership Camps 2009 and start thinking about which camps you would like to attend.
I look forward to meeting you this summer!
