Ancient History

Did the people of ancient India have spacecrafts and atomic weapons? Was there ever a race of giants roaming the earth? Come to PHC’s history camp this summer to find answers to these quandaries and more! Lectures and discussions will focus on the Ancient Near East, The Far East, and the Mediterranean – from creation to c. AD 1500. Students will travel through time with Bible-knowledge enhancing lessons that contextualize the OT story in the history of the Ancient Near East. Guest speakers will address the students on a variety of topics including anomalies of the ancient world and church history. Participants will also visit an antiquities museum for a close up look at some of history’s primary sources. At the conclusion of the week campers will get to showcase their newfound knowledge in the climactic history bee.
